The hard frost will last by the middle of February. Nighttime temperatures in parts will fall to -27°C, while daytime temperatures will vary around -10°C, Info-Prim Neo reports.

In a meeting of the Commission on Emergencies, Ilie Boian, the head of the State Hydrometeorology Service, said on Sunday and next Monday it will grow slightly warmer. There will be fog, glazed frost and snowstorms in parts of the country.

On February 7-10, the weather will be influenced by an East-European cyclone that will bring frost and insignificant precipitations. The temperatures will range between -18-23°C at night, in northern Moldova even between - 26-27 °C. There will be -16°C during the day.

From the middle of February, it will grow suddenly warmer.

The layer of ice on the rivers is 10-16 cm and does not put in danger those who love fishing in winter. But in some parts of the Nistru and Prut, the layer is thin and those areas should be avoided.
