First Round of V1 Challenge – Meet the Winners

May 6th is the start day for "V1 Challenge", competition sponsored by BEMOL. The first race took place today, under the Telecenter bridge where hundreds of people gathered to witness the event. The official start of the race was around 14:00. Before the race began, the public had the chance to witness a wonderful car show and also, to ride in Mitsubishi vehicles.

The race began, and the first two that had to compete were Serghei Savocikin and Elena Potorac, Elena becoming the winner in this first "battle of the engines". After the first two racers competed, it was time for the next 3, including the winner of the first race.

The final and decisive race was between 3 racers, amongst which was the second female in the entire team of 10 racers – Angela Andronic. The 3 finalists demonstrated their skills when it comes controlling the

Volkicars and the final classification for the first round of the "V1 Challenge" turned out in the following order:

1st Place - Octavian Nicolaescu
2nd Place - Chiril Gaburici
3rd Place -  Angela Andronic

BEMOL sponsored the event with the necessary quantity of fuel, both for the training period of the racers as well as for the actual "V1 Challenge" race. Today’s round was the 1st one out of the 6 planned: 3 more will take place in Chisinau, one in Balti and another one in Comrat.
